SOCIAL EVENTS

The Munch Club offers the experience of dining out with friends.
JJ’s Club offers social evenings, outings and summer BBQ.

Our Events’ Committee organises, among other activities, outings,
a fishing weekend and a Christmas party.

Theatre Club visits local and West End shows
and Saturday Night Ten Pin Bowling is a regular highlight.

EDUCATION AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

CLUB 4 R.O.Y.A.D. is held on some Thursday evenings at the New Malden Centre. It is partly educational and partly recreational. We run courses to help members live more independently, such as money management, travel training, assertiveness and life and interpersonal skills. We also arrange activity evenings such as craft and board games. Our Cookery School can bring cookery lessons into members’ own homes.

SPORTS

We have an amazing array of sports on offer - athletics, swimming, tennis, skiing and ten pin bowling to name but a few. We are also very keen to promote healthy living and fitness and run a dance/aerobics class in conjunction with the YMCA.

DRAMA

Drama classes are held weekly on a Sunday at The Cornerhouse Theatre in Surbiton. We use professional tutors and most years members put on a show for family and friends.

HOLIDAYS AND RESPITE

R.O.Y.A.D. members are given the opportunity to go on an annual holiday together. This is often a holiday abroad and aims to give our parents and carers a well deserved break.

We also usually organise a winter skiing holiday. These holidays are available to established and actively participating members.
